The massive steel sculpture called the "Symbol of Progress" in Bethlehem was built in 1967 by artist Joseph J Greenberg. Standing at 60 feet and weighting over 11,000 pounds, it was brought in by helicopter and installed it at the City Center Plaza in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The three pronged sculpture is in front of the library and the symbol is used as the library logo.
