The Point Fermin Lighthouse, Designed by Paul Petz in 1874 and built in the Victorian Stick-Style with lumber from California redwoods. In San Pedro California. It was deactivated in 1941 after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The first lighthouse keepers were sisters Mary & Ella Smith. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
