Description
The Quaker Meetinghouse was built in 1856 by the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Yearly Meeting. The open yard with trees and foliage add to the beauty of the red brick building with large windows and shutter and 3 doors. In 1993 the meetinghouse received a National Historic Landmark for its role in the the women's suffrage movement, abolition of slavery and the civil rights movement. I love this peaceful place.
